I’m a bit late (by a week) in sharing this post, but last week I shared a fun slimline shaker card created for the Global Design Project challenge #GDP527, where the theme is “Reasons to Party” — and honestly, what better reason than celebrating a brand new year? 🥂✨

I decided to lean right into those party vibes by creating a bold shaker card using brand new products releasing in January 2026 (available to pre-order for demonstrators right now). This card was made with the Beach Boardwalk suite paired with the Reason to Celebrate stamp set, and I just love how playful and festive this combination feels.

The Party Alphabet large dies are so much fun and so versatile for card making, scrapbooking or even making home decor or gifts!
They were a lot of fun to create a shaker card with!

The large HAPPY sentiment takes centre stage, cut straight into the card front to create a window shaker filled with gold star confetti for plenty of sparkle and movement. I added a soft ink-blended background behind the letters to keep things light and celebratory, then finished it off with bright die-cut palm trees and a bold “New Year” sentiment for that final party-ready touch.

Slimline cards are perfect when you want to make a statement, and adding a shaker element instantly turns a simple design into something extra special — perfect for milestone moments, celebrations, and of course… reasons to party!
