So a little bit about me…I am a thirty-something year old Mum/Daughter/Partner/Sister from the North West Coast of Tasmania.
In many other past times I have done several different things, I have dabbled in teaching, chef’ing, business, owned my own craft shop, youth worker and now right here and right now a Stampin’ Up demonstrator.
I have tried my hand at a lot of different crafts including sewing, pocket scrapbooking, scrapbooking, card making, some off the page projects, jewellery making and I am sure plenty more that I have since forgotten about. .
I have since downsized and since having my son Elijah in 2014 I have had a little bit less space and ability to leave precious projects laying around *wink*
I decided to sign up as a Stampin’ Up demo in 2016. I was already familiar with Stampin’ Up! and had been a customer in the past. I hadn’t however used the products in years and I have never in fact until now considered myself a card maker. I love that the craft is in no way limited. I am looking forward to what the future holds for me in terms of memory keeping. Stay tuned!
I am a big believer in self care and advocating for mental health! So these are my big ‘whys’ and reasons for craft as it was part of my self care and keeping well! I will always recommend passions and hobbies and pursuing them as I believe it is a very important way to keep yourself well and happy. I began crafting at fourteen years old at the advice of my school counsellor as a way of coping with struggles at school for a therapeutic outlet – here I am now in my 30’s – still crafting and still finding it therapeutic. Once I picked up that paper – there was no going back!
Stampin’ Up! has really changed my life and taken me to new places. I have never been ‘overseas’ on my own and in 2019, Stampin’ Up! saw me boarding a plane to New Zealand to spend the week with my favourite Stampin’ Up! people. I have plans to travel a lot more with Stampin’ Up! and independently as Stampin’ Up! has brought me out of my shell and made me see the potentials!
I hope you get much enjoyment from reading my blog.
