Interactive cards always have a way of capturing attention, and this Swing Out Surprise Card is no exception. This design was created during a class with Kylie and Bruno Bertucci at the Online Stamping Retreat, and it’s one of those folds that looks intricate but is so fun to put together.

I used the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Lovely & Beautiful Suite for my version, and the soft florals paired with the interactive movement make this card feel really special.

A Card with a Hidden Surprise

At first glance, this card looks like a layered floral design with a bold sentiment and soft textures. But as you open it, the magic happens…

The inside panel swings out to reveal hidden sections, creating movement and dimension that instantly elevates the design. It’s such a clever fold and adds that little “wow” moment we all love in handmade cards.
This style of card is perfect when you want something that feels a little extra without being overly complicated.

This project was inspired by Kylie Bertucci’s original design, which was taught during the retreat alongside Bruno. I always love seeing how different designers approach interactive folds, and this one is such a great mix of structure and creativity.
Being able to take that inspiration and make it your own is honestly one of the best parts of attending events like the Online Stamping Retreat.

It’s definitely a fold I’ll be recreating again with different suites and themes.
