Hello everyone…and happy October! October is an exciting time with Stampin’ Up! as it’s actually the first day of our brand new Stampin’ Up! year which is exciting.
With a new year of all things Stampin’ Up! I think it’s time to reflect on goals but also being thankful and appreciative of all the people that have supported me in my little business over the last year – so for that I am ever so thankful!
This month we are featuring a fabulous and great all rounder from the Mini Catalogue and that is the Plaid Tidings Suite of products whether that be the beautiful bundle, the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper or the gorgeous ribbon.
Be sure to check out all the other blogs (listed at the bottom of this post) for lots of inspiration and ideas!
What is Stamping Society?
It’s a monthly tutorial bundle from six different designers all over the world and each month we do a blog hop featuring a certain theme or product and then put together a tutorial and video which you can either purchase, earn for free on our teams or earn for FREE as one of our customers.
See the bottom of this post for more information on that.
The lovely designers on the team are:
Martin Stone: UK
Ashley Fifer: Canada
Angela Meiritz-Reid: New Zealand
Kelly Acheson: USA
Danielle Bennenk: Netherlands
Here’s a look at the finished card that I have created using the Plaid Tidings Suite as inspiration.
I have combined this suite with the gorgeous Plaid Builder Dies from the Annual Catalogue which you can find in my store here. These are fabulous dies as you can create so many versatile and personalised plaid backgrounds in any colour or print that you wish!
I have then combined this in some beautiful Crumb Cake, Brushed Metallic Cardstock and some of the Plaid Tidings 6×6 Designer Series Paper. It all came together nicely. Combined with our gorgeous new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine – which rolls through so smoothly – it’s a treat!
Here’s a close up look at the finished card.
I have used the adorable Jingle Bells. I have to say, even though these are not a new product and in fact they carried over from last year’s holiday catalogue – I LOVE them!
I have also added some Linen Thread and some foliage pieces cut from the Celebration Labels Dies in; Shaded Spruce, Brushed Metallic Cardstock and Vellum.
Of course I also spritzed some Wink of Stella over the whole card. SPARKLE!
Here’s another look at the card close up where you can see the gorgeous Gold Hoop that I have incorporated underneath my focal point.
I have just adhered this to the card using some of our fabulous Mini Glue Dots.
To create the sentiment focal point, I have die cut the smallest label from the Celebration Labels Dies and added some stamped off images from the Celebration Tidings Stamp Set in Crumb Cake and then heat embossed the sentiment in white over the top.
Here’s a look at the inside of the card which I have kept simple with layers of Whisper White and Basic Black with a touch of the Plaid Tidings 6×6 Designer Series Paper and some more of the stamping and foliage pieces. I also stamped one of the images from the stamp set in Shaded Spruce at the top of the layer.
I hope you got some inspiration and enjoyment out of today’s card share.
