I am so excited to be participating in my first Art of Mind Blog Hop started by the lovely Kerrin Shannon who is on my lovely Sassy Stampers team.
This is such a fabulous blog hop created with the theme of ‘mental well being’
Here is some information about the Art of Mind Blog Hop:
Art for the Mind is a organisation that is focused on mental well being and as such the Art For The Mind Blog Hop is themed accordingly. Sending cards it’s a fantastic way to let others know that they are not alone. YANA is a great principle that Art For The Mind follows. YANA stands for You Are Not Alone, knowing that we are not alone can often be enough in times of true challenge and at the same time all that those who wish to help can offer.
This is going to be a monthly blog hop and I am so excited to be taking part. Be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post to see links to the other blogs that have taken part.
The card that I have created for today’s blog hop features one of my favourite new bundles from the Mini Catalogue and that is the Simply Succulents Bundle.
I chose to feature this card because of the sentiment “You make the ordinary extraordinary”.
When thinking of mental wellbeing – I think of sending happy cards and reminding people of sunshine and positive thoughts.
I think of how much sunshine a handwritten note and card can bring in someone’s letterbox or by their door! Just knowing that someone has gone to the effort of hand making something special for them.
The inside quote “Kind people are my kind of people” really tops this off for me” – and I just felt this card really fit this theme so well!
Here’s a look at the finished card.
I have chosen a few basic colours for the colour scheme being: Mint Macaron, Old Olive, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana and Flirty Flamingo with a touch of Basic Black and Gold.
This card is a simple Z Fold card but has a fun look and makes for a fun cascading look when you add these cascading succulents coming down.
I have chosen to colour the succulents in Flirty Flamingo and Mint Macaron with a touch of Granny Apple Green and Old Olive.
I have also die cut some of the coordinating succulent pieces from the dies from Coastal Cabana cardstock.
I have adhered these to the cardstock with a mixture of Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots.
Here’s a look at the inside of my card which I have kept pretty simple with a Basic White square matted with some Basic Black and some basic stamping with a simple sentiment. This is to add an area in which you can add some greetings to the recipient.
Here’s a close up detailed look at the finished card where you can see some of the details.
I have added the frosted and clear epoxy droplets to the centres of some of my succulents to give them a fun and finished look with a bit of dimension.
I finished the card off with a fun Linen Thread Bow.

Such a pretty card, and lovely sentiments related to the YANA theme. This card would make a lovely gift to send someone who could do with the reminder that they are, Indeed, not alone. Thank you for sharing!
