Stampin’ Up! – Elephant Parade – #GDP379

Welcome to another fun week & another great Global Design Project challenge.
This week is a theme challenge and all above LOVE!
I have interpreted this one a little differently this week and so instead of creating a card to give to a significant other – I have created a ‘love’ card for a friend.
I love all my friends – and so I saw this one as a perfect excuse to show that friendship love!

I have been playing so much with the new Mini Catalogue products – that I actually decided to pull something out from the Annual catalogue and it was one that I haven’t played with yet, these gorgeous Elephants.

These were so much fun to colour!

Here is a look at my final card.
This has such a whimsical and child like appearance to it which I just love.
I combined it with the fun & colourful Enjoy The Journey Designer Series Paper which is a new product from the Mini Catalogue. It matched this project perfectly.
I kept this fresh on a base of Basic White and a soft layer of Pool Party.

Here is a close up look at my finished card.
I added a basic circle as a foundation for my focal element and added some soft blending in Pool Party as a ‘sky’.
I have coloured my elephant in some Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends and then added that cute little mouse coloured in a mixture of the Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends.
I added some of the gorgeous foliage coloured with Parakeet Party and Granny Apple Green and die cut all of these out. I love that they have coordinating dies!

To add my sentiment I have actually used the ‘Love You’ dies from another new product from the Mini Catalogue, the Love For You Dies. I love word dies and these are adorable. Cut out of Fine Shimmer Paper in the gold, they look so elegant.

Here is a look at the inside of my card where I have added some more stamping/colouring and some of the Fine Shimmer and Enjoy The Journey Designer Series Paper.

I love how this fun & whimsical card turned out.

It’s the perfect card to show my love for all my friendships.
