This gorgeous new suite introduced by Stampin’ Up! to the Online Exclusives range that is available to pre-order by demonstrators this month is just stunning. From the rich, bold and bright colours to those gorgeous Zinnias and the gorgeous texture that you can add with the fun sequins and delightful 3D embossing folder – this is a suite you won’t want to miss! I created a fun pop out slider card to show just how delightful this suite is on my Friday Night Facebook Live this week and I think I have fallen more in love! Did you know that you can get this suite now by joining my team and get a free glass mat?
Don’t wait! You can add any pre-order products to a starter kit and while the Sale-a-Bration joining offer is on you can get that amazing glass mat for FREE! See all the details here.
I have shared a fun PDF tutorial of how I created this fun pop out slider card which is linked at the bottom of this post which includes a link to the video replay, measurements, supply list and even a template! Scroll to the bottom to download that one!
the finished flowering zinnias pop out slider card
Here is a look at the finished card, aren’t those colours just delightful and fun?
This fun pop out slider card was inspired by a card that I saw created by the lovely Liebstes Grun. I recreated mine using this gorgeous Zinnia Suite.
The thing I love about this fun fold is that the surprise of the interactive design of the card is all hidden on the inside for when the recipient opens the card, but also the card does fit into a standard sized envelope (depending on how thick the card is).
the colour palette
Here is a look at the colour palette used for the card. Isn’t it bright and fun? I love the combination of bright colours added in with the rich and warm Pumpkin Pie, Real Red and deep purple.
a close up look at some of the finished details
Here is a look at some of the finished details on the card front. I loved adding touches of the Wavy Natural Trim which really added some texture to the card. This trim looks beautiful when pulled apart at the ends, which the Take Your Tool is really handy to use when doing this. I added a touch of gold with the More Dazzle Specialty Paper – I am going to miss this stuff if it is retired!
I used one of the samples from Stampin’ Up! as inspiration for my colours and design where they mixed colourful fussy cut Zinnias from the Designer Series Paper with some black and white stamped Zinnias and die cut pieces. I loved the mixture of plain black and white colour. It really helped with balancing the bright!
the magic of the pop up slider!
Here is where the magic is! You open up the card and there is a pop up slider mechanism which is easier than it looks to create as it is only two pieces of cardstock! It looks great to create a little bouquet of these Zinnias that literally pop up when you open this gorgeously bright card!
I replicated what I created on the outside to include a little bit of each of the flowers in a smaller bouquet. This time incorporating a ‘Thank You So Much” sentiment for my gratitude card.
I have also included a space to write a message on the top half of the card with a small panel for writing! I am one for including a bit of a message so I wanted a space to be able to write.
a look at the pop up slider mechanism from the side
Here is a look at the pop up slide mechanism from the side where you can see the dimension that this pop up has. It really does ‘pop up’ but still folds completely flat when closed!
I added some spritzing with some Wink of Stella and embellished with some of the gorgeous Shiny Sequins from the Flowering Zinnias Suite.
It was a lot of fun to create this super Fun Fold. I love creating with everyone on my Facebook Friday’s. I’d love for you to come and join in. Be sure to come and follow me on my Facebook Page so you can check out when I go live.
