I have had so much fun creating a handmade Christmas advent calendar recently to give to my lovely friend Leanne. I was really inspired after seeing a project by the talented Tanu Creative.
After seeing one of these beautiful calendars I was so inspired to create one of these and whilst it does take a little while to put together – it’s definitely fun to make and worth it! I have used are quite a mix of different products that all come together so beautifully. You can see the full supply list at the bottom of this post.

Here is a look at the finished advent calendar which is created as a book style box. I have embellished the front with a mixture of stamps & die cuts from the Golden Greenery Bundle, Winterly Tree Top Bundle and some beautiful foliage dies taken from the Sophisticated Sled Dies.

Here is a look at some of the details on the finished advent calendar. I added some texture with the Pool Party Pompom Ribbon and Garden Green Natural Tones Linen Thread. The Everyday Details Dies are one of my favourite set of dies and look gorgeous with stitched details – which I have added with more of the Linen Thread.

Here is a look at the finished advent calendar where you can see all twenty four of the beautiful advent boxes decorated with the Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper. The finished box size is large enough to fit in some chocolates or other small treats.

You can see how the boxes open to fit the treats inside but have also been decorated with a touch of the Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper.
