I am so excited to be participating in another one of the fabulous Crazy Crafters blog hops this time featuring the amazing Sandi MacIver. Her work is just amazing!
We had to choose one of her projects to CASE (copy & selectively edit) and make our own.
I spotted this gorgeous card using Flourishing Phrases and the Joseph’s Coat Technique and just had to give it a go for myself. I loved the colours, the use of the stamp set and the technique.
I had just recently purchased this stamp set bundle (Flourishing Phrases) so it was a perfect time to dig it out and use it!
Below is the card that I have made.
I made a bit of a hot mess job at the embossing but didn’t care so much as I felt that this sort of added to the ‘artsy’ look. That is what I am telling myself anyway!
The ink colours that I have used are Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Wild Wasabi and Night of Navy for the background.
I love this beautiful flourish in the Flourishing Phrases set. It’s so beautiful and just really acts as a beautiful feature on cards.
There is also a huge array of sentiments to choose from in the two box set.
Here’s a bit of a close up of the card.
I added some linen thread for a bit of extra texture and one of the metal rimmed pearls instead of a button in the centre of my die cut flower. I love the finished look that gives.
I also made a quick centre for the card using the gorgeous floral stamp and a simple ‘Hello’. I always like to ‘finish’ the insides of my cards now and feel that it gives them that extra bit of personalisation.
If you want to see a list of everyone else that has taken part in this amazing swap you can see all the participants here. They sure have done some amazing work!
I am also taking the time to talk about the Tutorial Bundle that I took part in with the Crazy Crafters team. There are twenty one amazing tutorials in this bundle with all different projects using current Stampin’ Up supplies. There is so much to be learnt and each tutorial comes in both imperial and metric measurements. For only $25AUD it’s a bargain. Here’s a link to purchase;
