I am really excited to share my projects with you using the gorgeous Abstract Impressions bundle with Springtime Impressions Dies to create this set of three cards that feature that beautiful butterfly (which was a pretty cool centrepiece on all of our tables at the recent Onstage conference) and featuring some of the gorgeous new Designer Series Paper.

Here’s a look at the set of three cards I made. I used the entire bundle to create this set including the A4 Cardstock pack which included Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo and So Saffron Cardstock which was stunning to use with these papers and make these cards pop!
I used very minimal embellishments on these cards and rather let the beautiful butterfly and Designer Series Paper be the main feature of my cards. I used some pretty Linen Thread, Iridescent Sequins and Basic Rhinestones to embellish my cards. I actually love how they turned out and can’t wait to send them in the mail to some beautiful people around the world!
Here’s a look at the gorgeous blog header for this fun blog hop that I am really excited to be taking part in. I love being given the chance to blog hop with such a talented group of people from all around the world.
Here’s a close up of the finished card and the dimension achieved by cutting out the butterfly and placing it back in place with Designer Series paper underneath it. It’s called an ‘inlay’ effect and I love how it turns out and is so easy to achieve, with very minimal supplies.
Here’s a look at the finished Melon Mambo card with some gorgeous Designer Series Paper. I picked up the blue in the Designer Series Paper with some of the blue sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Mix. I also added a spritz of colour from the Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Write Marker from the gorgeous new 2018-2020 In Colours. This was totally inspired by the lovely Dena Rekow and her fabulous ‘spritzing’ technique with the markers. It adds a fun and easy element to cards.
Here’s the card I made on the So Saffron base. I have to admit that So Saffron has never been one of my favourite colours but I really love how it looks on this card with that beautiful and bright Designer Series Paper.
With all these cards I’ve actually added a double layer of the cardstock which you can see above. I love tone on tone elements on cards.
Down the middle of the butterfly I have added a row of the Basic Rhinestones to add some extra sparkle and dimension to the card.
The last card I created is on the Calypso Coral card and spritzed with the Gorgeous Grapefruit Stampin’ Write Marker. I love the combination of colours and one of my favourite floral patterns from the Designer Series Paper behind.
Here’s a look at the decorated insides to my cards. I stamped a coordinating colour from the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set in butterflies and added an additional sentiment on the inside; “If flowers were hugs, I’d send you a thousand” How cute is that for a sentiment?
These are going to be the perfect cards to send to my beautiful friends.
