I’m back to share another layout that I created with THE SCRAPPERY’s gorgeous February kits. This was the first project that I created when I opened the kits and I loved the kits SO MUCH that I made this the very day I received them in the mail. Last year Crate Paper released their valentines day collection called LOVE NOTES and I absolutely loved that one too and they have done it again this year with their valentines collections KISS KISS. It’s so gorgeous. I love the golds, pink and woodgrains together. Crate Paper is such a fantastic company.
I also created a process video putting this layout together. I must say that I was partly inspired by a layout I saw on Pinterest where they had used two triangles on opposing corners to basically ‘frame’ the photograph and it has some way of leading your eye into the photograph. That’s what I loved about this design and I think it’s a design that I will want to use again.

Here’s the first close up of the layout. I just love this picture of my son and I love showing that you can use ‘girly’ products on a page with a male. I don’t mind using pink and flowers on his pages because I love him and this page shows that.
I have been also channeling my inner Wilna Fustenberg and journalling straight onto my page. It’s risky and it takes some courage and bravery. I just go slow and try to go with the flow. I don’t totally love my handwriting but it’s something I am working on improving.
This gorgeous sequin butterfly from the Pink Paislee Bella Rouge collection is just fabulous! I love sequins and this added just the perfect touch of ‘bling’ to this page. I attached it to the page with my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher. You can also see in this close up the gorgeous rub on I have used on the bottom of my photo. I love the quote ‘You are my sun, my moon & all of my stars’. I think I really want this as a quote in my son’s bedroom. It’s so beautiful.
So here is the last close up and I am so happy with how this layout turned out.
