This month’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday challenge was all about working from a sketch, and I couldn’t resist diving in with the new Stampin’ Up! Hobby Haven suite.

I loved how versatile this sketch was—it’s the perfect base for layering, letting patterned paper shine, and adding just the right amount of detail without feeling busy. I used a mix of Hobby Haven Designer Series Paper and coordinating die cuts to create an easy, balanced design that feels fun and creative while still being super achievable.

Sketch challenges are one of my favourite ways to get out of a creative rut. They give you a clear starting point but still leave plenty of room to make the design your own—by switching up colours, focal images, or embellishments.

If you’re looking for a quick card idea that highlights Designer Series Paper and works beautifully with die cuts, this sketch is definitely one to try.
