I am finally getting around to blogging the projects that I made from the Online Stamping Retreat that I attended back in October. These retreats are magical and are 10/10 and definitely worth attending! I was so excited by the amazing cards that we got to create at this fun retreat because they are always nothing short of amazing!
The interactive card I am featuring today was created in the Lisa/Gina duo class and this was my take on the Lisa Curcio card. Lisa’s original card was made using the Modern Garden suite and I had so much fun changing it up to create my card with the All About Autumn suite as this is definitely one of my favourite suites from the Mini Catalogue!
The embellishments from this gorgeous suite have already sold out and won’t be coming back but you can still grab the Designer Series Paper while stocks last!
There is another Online Stamping Retreat coming up in February next year and you can join the wait list…

the finished double pop up interactive card…
Here is a look at my finished interactive card! Can you tell why this was so much fun? This suite is so much fun to work with for so many reasons; the colours, textures, patterns, images – it all just works so well together. I knew that I wanted to use it for this class!
The beautiful interactive card design on this double pop up card design has a small front panel that worked so well to create a scattering of focal leaves that I made in different patterns in textures incorporating some die cut from cardstock, patterned paper and some that were also dry embossed and then heat embossed over the top. I added extra ink over the top of my die cuts with a Blending Brush for additional definition and really had loads of fun adding texture to my leaves!
the colour inspiration…
Here is a look at the colours that inspired my card. I took my colour inspiration directly from the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper! Aren’t these colours gorgeous together?
a close up of the finished card
Here is a close up look at the finished card. Her you can really see a close up of the large leaf that takes the focal point on the front centre piece of this double pop out interactive card. I went for a fun double embossing technique with this one which is so simple yet adds such a bold and beautiful effect.
The distressed 3D Tile Embossing Folder that is part of this suite is GORGEOUS and definitely a hot favourite so once I had die cut out some of these leaves, I dry embossed them. To add some heat embossing over the top, it’s as simple as running some Versamark ink lightly over the raised embossed detail and adding some embossing powder. If you add too much – simply brush some off with a finger or a brush! Check out the cool effect it makes!
a look at the finished magic of the double pop out card
Here is a look at the finished magic of the interactive double pop out card. This is what makes this card so much fun! You pull the card open and it has this fun mechanism that makes the next panel move along with it. So much fun and so many possibilities to make this design work with so many different products, suites and ideas!
I also loves the idea of making this design to versatile with using the #loveitchopit method and using up some of the beautiful paper designs we have and letting them shine on the background. On this particular sample I have used the gorgeous All About Autumn Designer Series Paper which has the beautiful foiled detailing.
a close up of some of the detail…
Here you can see some of the detail of the card when it is opened and some of the detail I have added to my inside panel. I kept my panel rather simple, as I wanted to leave the space and room for a message to be written here for the recipient. I added a few additional leaves to carry the Autumn theme through to the inside of the card and added some light blending with some Pecan Pie.
This beautiful textile design in Pretty Peacock from the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper matched perfectly.
some more of the detail up close…
One more close up look. You can see the sentiment here which I did heat emboss in white on some Pecan Pie cardstock for something a little bit different. This looked beautiful placed over the top and slightly distressed over the focal point.
I really do love to make just because/friendship/thank you cards and they definitely are at the top of my list of favourites to make. This suite works perfectly for that!
I had so much fun putting this project together and Lisa/Gina’s class was so inspiring. I always love to learn a new fun fold/interactive card.

Until next time, crafty hugs. xx
