Hello lovely blog readers and thank you so much for coming to visit my blog today.
Today I am participating in a fun blog hop with the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop group, full of lots of talented paper crafters.
Today we are all about CASE’ing (copying and selectively editing) – basically taking a design and letting it inspire you in some way to create another.
For this blog hop, I am actually CASE’ing a card right out of the brand new Mini Catalogue, and it just had me so inspired, using the new Mountain Air Bundle. See below for a picture of the card that inspired this one.
Be sure to head further down to follow and check out all the other blogs that I am hopping with today.
Here’s a picture of the finished card.
I have used a mixture of Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss, Basic Black and Fluid 100 for my layers to my card, and quite enjoyed using this colour combo as it was something a little bit different!
I have watercolored my background with Crushed Curry Ink and an Aqua Painter. I did add a lot of water, so using a watercolour paper is definitely your best bet!
I have stamped my mountains in both Lovely Lipstick and Blackberry Bliss. At first I wasn’t actually happy with how it looked, so I actually double stamped them (a Stamparatus would be handy for this! – as they do take a lot of ink to get into the nooks and crannies of the textured watercolour card).
Here’s a look at the card that inspired this design:

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!
I then die cut two of the trees that come with the dies from the Mountain Air bundle in Basic Black, and also stamped some more mountains in Basic Gray on Basic Gray cardstock and die cut these out. The super fun thing about this stamp set is that it is reversible!
You can stamp a fun detailed image of the mountains, or just the shadow/solid image. I have used both on this card!
I added a sentiment from the Harvest Hellos stamp set which has carried over from the Holiday catalogue.
To finish it off I added some Wink of Stella, Linen Thread and a fun Leaves Trinket in copper!
I hope that you enjoyed this post today, sharing how CASE’ing is totally okay and very fun when you want to try new things.
Be sure to check out all the other gorgeous blogs that took part.
Happy crafting! xx
