I wanted to come and post this blog post about a recap of the ONSTAGE event that I just attended with Stampin’ Up! in Sydney.
The event was so fabulous (as it always is!) I got to see the BRAND NEW catalogue and even have a play with some of the new products.
Of course there was also the socialising and meeting new people as always which is quite often the best bit!
Here’s our team, with some photoshopping skills to add the ladies that attended the Onstage in Perth.
We are honestly the best team. So happy to call myself a Crazy Crafter!
I was a Sydney virgin, so this was amazing for me! I had never seen the Sydney Harbour Bridge or the Opera House!! The view from our hotel was amazing!
This was a close up of the Bridge, walking underneath it at dusk. The harbour was amazing!
Then back at the hotel again and watching a cruise ship head out. Beautiful!!
On the Friday night I headed out with this gorgeous bunch of ladies for dinner.
This is when Centerstage is held and I haven’t quite hit the level of attending that dinner yet, one day hopefully in the near future.
We were a bit cheeky and took a picture with the Centerstage sign. We can all dream ๐
The actual event was held at Luna Park in Sydney. There were so many lights and sounds. It was beautiful.
We then went out for dinner to Bangkok Sidewalk and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G Like seriously….best Thai food I have had in my life. So yum. It was just a little restaurant in Northern Sydney.
Then the day for Onstage finally arrived…yay!
Here’s a quick little snapshot of some of the swap boards. As you can imagine it’s really busy so I just tried to take a quick snap shot while there weren’t too many people around.
These are my cards that I made to swap.
As you can imagine they took me a while as I made 50 of them and that was a lot of Big Shot work. haha! I keep saying that I don’t want to see the Jar of Love stamp set again for a while.
I got to meet up with the gorgeous Ellen Woodbridge again. We don’t meet for years and then do it twice in 12 months. She is one lovely lady!!
Here is a look at the gorgeous diary we got given by Stampin’ Up! They give a gorgeous diary each Onstage to help you plan and prepare your next 6 months. This one is no exception, love it!
There is also the plan for the day. It was a very big day!
All of us in awe of all the presentations and product spotlights.
Now to share with you some up close images of some of the new product
(please keep in mind I didn’t get pictures of everything as it was a very busy room with a lot of excited people getting up close peeks of new product)
I think everyone is pretty excited about the new tools!
There are lots of amazing things coming including EMBOSSING PASTE!!! Yep!!
Did someone say MINI dimensionals? I can’t wait for those.
The ribbons actually blew me away. There are so many new ones that are so nice.
I have a bit of a love affair with sequins anyway but I am totally in love with the new colours and the size of these sequins. Beautiful!
There are some really cute wooden embellishments that are natural wood on one side and white on the other. Think of the colouring possibilities!
A little look at the Eastern Palace suite. Stunning…this one is coming in the mail to me this week. The whole suite was inspired by peacocks and I just love it!
Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper. How cute would this be for tweens and teens?
This one is a vintage birthday suite. We got to play with this at Onstage. Isn’t it gorgeous? Look at those poodles!
Some more gorgeous ribbon!
Some ruffled 3D balloons that go with the vintage birthday suite.
This is the Foil Frenzy paper. Isn’t it stunning?
I think this would make really adorable boxes and bags.
I am a little bit in LOVE with the mini sequin trim. This comes in Black, Gold and Silver.
Some of the gorgeous new ribbons in the In Colours. BEAUTIFUL!
These are felt self adhesive mini bows. These are just too cute!
Here’s a look at the designer series paper for the new In Colour series which features; Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide Tide, Powder Pink, Fresh Fig and Berry Burst.
These are some sneak peeks of the Bundle of Love suite. It’s a beautiful love themed suite and so gorgeous with lots of GOLD!
This is the Naturally Eclectic suite. I love the crinkled seam binding ribbon in this one. Seam binding is a very forgiving ribbon and ties so easily.
Stampin’ Up! are also coming out with some faceted gems in Gold and Silver. These look fantastic as flower centres. I can’t wait to have a play with these.
This is a look at the Colour Theory suite. It’s based on the four seasons and they have just one a stunning job of this!
Here’s a look at the stamps with the matching thinlets. I won’t lie I am totally looking forward to playing with those cherry blossoms.
Cherry blossoms are one of my favourite things, in fact I can’t wait to go to Japan one day during Cherry Blossom season.
These cuties look so much better in person. Glitter Enamel dots. Could we seriously ask for more? I am going to need several packs of these and no doubt I will still hoard them!
This is amazing…copper trim! and what’s even cooler it’s that it is made out of a wire type mesh so you can bend and twist it and form it how you like.
This is the Wood Words bundle and we actually got to have a play with this suite at Onstage. I think the Wood Crate is going to be a best seller. It fits little note cards in it perfectly!
Here’s a close up of the Wooden Crate. How gorgeous does it look stamped tone on tone?
This Wooden Texture Designer Series Paper Stack is also designed to coordinate with the Wood Crate. Isn’t it stunning? The reverse sides of these papers is also designed to coordinate with the front so that you can make 3D projects and have it all match.
Some more gorgeous satin ribbon. This is one of my favourites!!
This one is the Just Add Colour suite, based upon the colouring page trend a bit like our Designer Series Paper stack that featured in our recent Sale-a-Bration.
I can’t wait to see what people do with this.
Here is a look at some of the host sets. I was actually REALLY excited about seeing the host sets and they did not disappoint.
Running more workshops is something on my goals list and I think showing you how AMAZING these sets are is going to really help that as these sets you can only receive by hosting a workshop or placing an order over $250AUD.
This was one of my favourite releases and this is the new All Inclusive Kit – Soft Sayings.
It includes everything (including the stamp, ink and clear block) to make 20 cards.
I am going to be featuring this as a class as for the first time ever they are offering a refill on the kit so those that don’t want the stamp can just do the class. I think that is a genius idea and look how cute the kit is?
Something else new for Stampin’ Up! is this GORGEOUS planner.
I think this is going to be a game changer, seriously! There is a huge planner/memory keeping market and I think this is going to really appeal. I can’t wait to get mine and get started.
It’s called the LOVE TODAY All Inclusive Planner Kit and comes with everything you need. It is 6×8 inch in size and features; Calypso Coral, Emerald Envy, Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party and Real Red. It is also going to come with Planner refills so that you can use it again by switching out the pages in the binder. How awesome is that?
The final picture I have to share is some of the new bakers twine and a close up of all three of the the mini sequin trims. There are so many of these gorgeous ribbons that just need to make their way into my ever growing stash!
As you can see I had an absolutely AWESOME time at Onstage.
I can’t wait for November.
They are having an Onstage Local in both Melbourne and the Gold Coast (I still can’t decide which one to attend!!)
I will be back with PART TWO of my Onstage recap in the next two days and I will share the make and takes, the prize patrols I won and more.
