Stampin’ Up! ~ Beauty of Tomorrow ~ International Blog Highlights

I am really excited to be taking part in another one of my lovely upline’s Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights.

Today I have created a card with one of my favourite suites from the new mini catalogue and that is the Blackberry Beauty suite.
It was rather odd that I gravitated towards this suite as I am not a purple girl!
It was something about the richness of these colours with the beautiful gold that just called out my name!

I had some fun playing with a great technique with this card…scroll down to see more…

powder but really wanted to have a play with some clear embossing powder on some coloured cardstock and adding some ink over the top. I added the beautiful vine image in clear embossing on top of some Melon Mambo cardstock and then with a Blending Brush added some Blackberry Bliss Ink over the top.
This added a really fun effect.

I have then splattered some water over the top which then lifts some of the colour for a fun ‘splattered’ look.

I added one of the gorgeous “Some People are Just Likeable” sentiments in Memento Black on some Basic White cardstock to the card front with a strip of the Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper.

I also added some of the coordinating Gold 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon tied in a nice big bow to the card front. I have combined this with some Linen Thread.

Here’s a close up look at the finished card where you can see some of the finished detail.
I have accented with some of the Artistry Blooms Sequins and some spritzing of the Wink of Stella pen for some sparkle.

Here’s a look at the inside of the card which I have kept simple with layers of Blackberry Bliss and Basic White with a small strip of the Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper and some Linen Thread with a small sentiment stamped in Memento Black.
