Let’s have a look at todays’ fun project…
I was so excited to bring out my watercolours on this card and tried one of my old favourite techniques of creating a ‘watercolour stripe’ background. This is so easy to do with our variety of sizes of Water Painters. I love the large Water Painter – it’s great for stripes like this!
I created a Gray Granite background. I have shared more about how I created this on my video linked below.
I finished it off by adding some spritzing with a Gray Granite Stampin’ Write marker for some extra texture on the background of my card.
Here is a close up look at my finished card where you can see some of the texture and detail.
I had so much fun watercoloring my flowers which are coloured in a mixture of; Fresh Freesia, Blackberry Bliss, Soft Sea Foam and Soft Succulent. I swapped out the large tip for the finer tip Water Painter. So much fun as a relaxing time crafting when you just want to sit and colour.
I tried some of the gorgeous new spotty vellum from the Vellum Basics 12×12 Designer Series Paper. I love the soft look this created.
My sentiment is stamped on Gray Granite and heat embossed in black. I love the elegant and sleek style of black embossing. It’s not my usual go to and it’s hard to capture on camera – but it’s definitely worth it. So gorgeous!
Here is a look at the inside of my card where I have added some of the gorgeous Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper and some simple stamping.
I love how this project came together. Whilst it takes a while to get the colouring elements together – it’s so much fun! This bundle is a gorgeous one to work with!
