Hello everyone and a big hello!
It’s been a while and I am so sorry! Things have been a bit busy and crazy around here.
I am trying to get back on board and get more organised so that I can get back to my regular sharing. I thought I would pop on today however and share a fun and interactive Christmas Card that I made somewhat recently using the beautiful Fireside Trimmings Bundle of products.
I hope that you enjoy this project and be sure to scroll to the bottom to see links to all the products that I have used in today’s project, all of which are available in my store here.
Here’s a look at my finished card.
This was made using a fun interactive way where I have created a landscape fold card and then scored the card base in half length ways, to create a tent fold. I have then added a 2.5″ piece by the width of the card (14.9cm) and then scored this at 1″ and 2″. This created another tent fold which I have then added to the bottom of the previous tent fold with some Stampin’ Seal+
I have then cut pieces and layers just a little smaller than all my pieces to create this fold.
To help ‘hold up’ this fold I have die cut my sentiment using the Fireside Dies and added a sentiment inside my frame which I have added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Here’s a close up look at the finished card where you can see some of the details.
I had a lot of fun combining different textures and embellishments on this card.
I pulled in some of the fun Rainbow Glimmer Paper and just used the yellow/orange section of this beautiful glimmer to create a fun and glittery fire. You can see this cardstock linked at the bottom of this post to purchase in my store.
I have also added some of the fun Wonderful Gems in red as an added embellishment with some Linen Thread.
The papers that I have used on this card were a fun mixture of the Poinsettia Place, In Good Taste and the beautiful Red Velvet Paper. I love having the In Good Taste paper as beautiful and neutral woodgrains and patterns like those in this pack, are great to mix and match with everything!
Here’s a look at the inside of the card where I have added another layer of the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper and layered this with some more Crumb Cake cardstock. I am a big fan of tone on tone looks – especially with neutral colours.
I have also added in some Whisper White cardstock matted on some more Crumb Cake Cardstock to the little piece above so that there is somewhere that the person gifting this card can write a message.
I hope that you got some inspiration from today’s card share and are getting started making those festive cards. Don’t forget to check out my store if you need any supplies – as my shop has lots of beautiful supplies to get you well started on your Christmas crafting!
Big crafty hugs! xx
