Stampin’ Up! Forever Greenery ~ Happy Birthday Card

Hi guys, I hope you are having a lovely day wherever you are in the world and that you are your family are safe – especially in these crazy times!

Today I am sharing with you a card that I made the other day before I had a shift at work. I was feeling the love for the Forever Greenery Suite of products and I really wanted to create a sponged background using some of the beautiful Forever Flourishing Dies that come as part of that suite.

Here’s a look at my finished card.

I have cut out several of the flourishes from some Thick Whisper White Cardstock and adhered them all over the background before sponging over the top with a mixture of; Pretty Peacock, Just Jade and Granny Apple Green Inks.

I have used my Oval Makeup Sponge brushes to achieve this look, however the Stampin’ Sponges would also work.

I have then flicked some water over the background with the Water Painters and due to our inks being water based, this will remove some of the colour and create a ‘droplet’ effect.

I have then added some Wink of Stella sparkle!

I have backed this on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and added some gold thread from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.

I adhered to a Basic Black card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Here’s a close up look at the finished card where you can see some of the texture and detail up close.

I have added one of the beautiful Word Wishes Dies ‘Happy’ die cut from Basic Black Cardstock. I have then also die cut this from our fabulous new Foam Adhesive Sheets and adhered this to the card for a dimensional effect.

I then stamped the ‘birthday’ sentiment from the A Wish for Everything Stamp Set on some Thick Whisper White Cardstock and adhered this where shown.

To embellish I added a white die cut from the Forever Flourishing Dies and some of the Flowers for Every Season Gems in green.

Here’s a look at the decorated inside of the card which I have kept simple with layers of Just Jade and Whisper White, with a small strip of the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper.

I have then added another leftover flourish and some Wink of Stella.
