I forgot to share a card from my Online Stamping Retreat retreat projects!! OH MY GOODNESS! How rude of me! But it’s for a good reason – this one already went to a new home because it was just too pretty and I gave it away pretty much as soon as I had made it so it was out of sight, out of mind and I find it in my files and realised I hadn’t shared it (sorry for the bad photos, lighting and weather has been terrible here!)
I gave this one to my Mum, because she is someone that thank you is just never enough, words can’t ever express how grateful I am to have someone as special in my life. I am lucky to have such a beautiful Mum. This card went to her.
This card was made in the Lisa/Gina duo class for the Top/Bottom Pop Up Card and this was my take on Lisa’s version.
See my blog post with my Gina version here.
I had so much fun playing with Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusive Irresistible Blooms collection for this one. Did you know that we have a whole Online Exclusives range that is not featured in our catalogues and you can only see online? You can browse the whole range in my online store here.
So here is the card that I made…
The actual cards look similar at the front, it’s the inside where they are different, but this one I decorated with the beautiful Irresistible Blooms collection. I loved using the emboss resist technique with this one, it’s a fun one and has been popular everyone I have seen online with this collection. Simply heat emboss the images and then take either a Blending Brush or a Sponge Dauber and apply some ink and gently apply some ink right over the top – you can mix and blend ink! it sounds messy but it’s really not. The cool think is – the embossing resists the ink! Makes you look like a colouring pro – which I am definitely not!
I have coloured my flowers with a mixture of Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight and my leaves are coloured in a mixture of Soft Sea Foam and Lost Lagoon. I have picked my colours right off the coordinating colours from the Designer Series Paper. The colour coordination is done for you by Stampin’ Up! Love it!
I chose one of the more subtle Designer Series Paper designs from the paper collection for my layering and added one of the beautiful intricate dies to use with some Gold Foil for some layering.
Here is a close up look at the finished card.
I have embellished with some Loose Frosted Dots. These are also from the Online Exclusive Range. These are so beautiful and add a really nice touch. I have been using these on so many things lately and look great mixed with so many suites!
I’ve added some Brushed Brass Butterflies scattered on the card and lastly some light spritzes of some Wink of Stella and Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Write Marker.
This is where the fun is! My little pop up in the centre of the card – and I didn’t get a good picture of this – so sorry! is actually made with the Scalloped Contour Dies! I’ll add this square picture also as it shows it a little better. Lisa added here little pop up on a full rectangle where as Gina’s was more based around the little die cut images.
This is a great way to use those Scalloped Contour Dies.
I have used some leftover bloom images.
This folds down to be completely flat!
How fun is that?
I have added a few more spritzes with the Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Write Marker and some pretty little sparkles with Wink of Stella. Trust me — I love to make everything glittery!
This all tucks in and fits perfectly in a standard sized envelope for posting.
I promise this was my last project for the Online Stamping Retreat.
Until next time, Crafty hugs. xx
