Stampin’ Up! Peace & Joy Stamping Society ~ August

Today is an exciting day as it’s time for another Stamping Society Blog Hop!

This month we are featuring the gorgeous Peace & Joy Bundle and the Tree Angles Stamp Set. We have loads of inspiration to share with you all!

What is Stamping Society?
It’s a monthly tutorial bundle from six different designers all over the world and each month we do a blog hop featuring a certain theme or product and then put together a tutorial and video which you can either purchase, earn for free on our teams or earn for FREE as one of our customers.

Here’s a look at the finished card. I decided to go really out there and use our fabulous new Water Painters to create some watercolour stripes in the lovely Coastal Cabana Ink to create these fun stripes.
I was actually really inspired to create a ‘Christmas’ card that wasn’t necessarily inspired by the ‘traditional’ Christmas colours.

I also used two fabulous new products, the beautiful Red Velvet Paper as well as the Brushed Foil Cardstock combined with the Peace & Joy bundle dies to create this focal piece. Here’s a close up look at the finished card where you can see some of the texture and detail.
I have used the included stamps from the Peace & Joy Stamp Set and stamped a variety of foliage leaves in a mixture of; Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce and Just Jade. I have then fussy cut these pieces out and adhered them to either side of the focal piece.

I have stamped and heat embossed the ‘merry’ ‘and’ in white on some Basic Black cardstock and fussy cut this out.

To further embellish I have added some spritzes of Wink of Stella and a bow tied from the Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack which includes this beautiful Gold Trim.

Here’s a look at the inside of the card which I have kept simple with layers of Basic Black and Whisper White with a simple stamped image of some holly and berries with a small strip of the Red Velvet Paper.
