Let’s have a look at todays’ fun project…
Here’s a look at my finished card.
I decided to do a tent fold card. I did a similar card a couple of month’s ago for a Stamping Society Blog Post and fell in love with it. I really wanted to have something to ‘WOW’ on these fun leaves which I have made stand out with some Gilded Leafing.
Did you know that Stampin’ Up! sell this fun product? You can add gold foiling to just about anything!
I have simply die cut out all my intricate leaves, added some liquid adhesive and let it dry and then added some Gilded Leafing with a Stampin’ Sponge. So much fun!
I chose to combine my card today with another fun stamp set, the Biggest Wish. The Gorgeous Leaves bundle doesn’t come with sentiments, but there are so many gorgeous sets in the catalogue that you can combine this with!
Here’s a close up look at the finished card where you can see some of the texture and detail.
For the background to my card front, I have used the Timber 3D Embossing Folder for a ‘woodland’ look and used a Blending Brush with some Crumb Cake ink to slightly distress the edges.
This gave it a bit of a vintage look.
For the sentiment, I have heat embossed this with our black embossing powder. Black embossing is not something I go for often, and to be honest, I forgot that I own it!! I love how it turned out as it is bold and dramatic!
To embellish, I have kept it simple with some Brushed Metallic Dots and a bow tied with the Simply Elegant Trim. I didn’t want to add too much more as the leaves are the star of the show!
My leaves are die cut in several colours; Fresh Freesia, Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo, Magenta Madness and Gold Foil! The pinks and purples were so much fun to play with!
Here’s a look at what the card looks like on the inside, I have layered some Basic White on Crumb Cake and added a layer of Gold Foil and a couple more Gilded Leafing leaves. Say that ten times fast!
I hope you got some inspiration and enjoyment out of today’s card share.
