Hey lovely crafty friends! 💕
I’m back today sharing another project I made during the October 2025 Online Stamping Retreat — this time a super fun and interactive Surprise Side Slide-Out Card! This one was taught by the brilliant Bruno Bertucci in his duo class with Kylie Bertucci, and I just had to show off my version featuring the oh-so-fabulous Celebratory Sips Suite from Stampin’ Up!

I absolutely love how bright, bold, and happy this suite is — it’s basically sunshine and good vibes in paper form! For my version, I wanted to create something that felt like summer in a glass, so I went all in with juicy citrus tones, watercolor textures, and those adorable cocktail stamps.

The “Cheers” sentiment was the perfect finishing touch — embossed in white on a dark navy background for a crisp pop against all those bright colours. I layered it over a mix of die-cut glasses, fruit slices, and greenery, and even tucked in a bit of gold ribbon for a touch of sparkle.

Now, the magic really happens when you open it up — the side of the card slides out to reveal a second panel (and a hidden message!). I decorated the inside with more of those fun drink illustrations and added a bold “HI” with a cheerful ombré effect, paired with “Let’s Celebrate!” — because honestly, what’s more fun than cocktails and confetti?

The inside also has a space for a personal note, making it perfect for birthdays, celebrations, or just sending a happy hello.

This technique is one of those “wow” cards that’s surprisingly easy to make once you know the trick — and that’s what I adore about these retreats. You learn projects that look super fancy but are actually really doable (and totally addictive once you start making them!).

The Celebratory Sips Suite was the perfect choice for this — from the fun drink dies to the coordinating papers, it all came together so easily. I love when a suite does all the hard work for you!
