This is such a late post, in fact it’s already Thursday (yes I should be asleep!)
I wanted to come by and share with you this card that I made for today’s post however. I meant to post it earlier and was so exhausted that I ended up asleep at 5pm.
Not like me at all!
So I LOVE this stamp set. It is one of the very first stamp set bundles (as it comes with gorgeous matching thinlets) that I purchased out of the Holiday Catalogue.
I really wanted to make a gingerbread house with it. Can you believe I hadn’t done that yet?
Also I think a lot of people saw the set as only being ideal for the 3D projects that we have seen so much and that the thinlets set makes so easy, however I just adore them on a card also!
I chose to go with a bit of a different colour scheme and used some gorgeous Mint Macaron, Flirty Flamingo, Crumb Cake and Watermelon Wonder.
I’m a little bit in love!
I have used quite a few elements on the card to make it pop and add different textures.
I have used some of the gorgeous metallic red and white bakers twine also found in the Holiday Catalogue as well as the gorgeous red metallic thread. This along with the fact that I have mounted quite a few elements on dimensionals really help set this card apart.
I have also added one of those ADORABLE red jingle bells from the Holiday Catalogue. Can you believe I have almost gone through a container of 60??
I stamped a sentiment (which is a little hard to see in pictures as it’s white heat embossed on vellum) from the Tin of Tags stamp set. I have to say I did purchase that stamp set to use with the Tin of Tags but it has sure been getting a work out on my Christmas cards because they are such great versatile stamp sets. In fact I have another project in the makings on my desk using it yet again!
And here’s a close up of the gorgeous little Gingerbread house.
I must admit that every time I think of Gingerbread houses I think of Hansel and Gretel, anybody else think that?
I hope you enjoyed today’s post.
Will be back soon for more.
Best go to bed, because I have a Christmas card class to teach today/tomorrow!
… see below for all the project supplies used in today’s post.
