Today’s theme is seriously bringing ALL the cosy childhood feels — “Through the Eyes of a Child” — and I mean… how could I not go straight to gingerbread cookies, candy canes, and all things sugary + whimsical? 😍

Christmas as a kid felt magical, didn’t it? I jumped straight to memories of creating gingerbread people and gingerbread houses with my younger sister.
Here are the photo memories of my younger sister and I that I found…wow, what a throwback. I was 19 years old here and an avid scrapbooker so took photos of everything!

So today’s card is inspired by sweet Christmas memories — baking, treats, and little festive traditions that felt HUGE when we were tiny!

Today’s Challenge

THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD

What do you think of when you think back to your childhood Christmas memories? Let that inspire your project today.

My Card — a Happy Gingerbread themed card

I had SO much fun crafting this little gingerbread cutie, complete with textured icing and hand stitching, peppermint background details, and a cosy mug moment ☕🍪
The sentiment “baking spirits bright” just felt perfect for this playful theme.

Handmade Christmas card featuring a large die-cut gingerbread man on a pink peppermint-themed embossed background. The gingerbread man wears a pink hat and red scarf, holding a turquoise mug. White faux frosting details and sparkling accents create a festive look. Sentiment reads “baking spirits bright.” Bright, modern holiday card created using Stampin’ Up! paper craft supplies.

Close-up of the gingerbread card showing layered die-cut details, stitched icing accents, peppermint elements, and heat-embossed sentiment strip. Mixed textures and glitter embellishments highlight Stampin’ Up! Christmas card making techniques.

Clean and simple inside panel of the handmade holiday card stamped with “season’s EATINGS” and a small peppermint embellishment in the corner. Light ink blending adds subtle festive colour.
