I’m back with another Global Design Project share—and this week is such a fun one!
For challenge #GDP544, we are CASE’ing the designer, and this beautiful card by Wendy Weixler was my inspiration.

What I loved most about Wendy’s card was:

• the soft, artistic background
• the layered florals
• and that effortless balance between texture and colour

I kept those key elements as my starting point, but gave it my own twist with a brighter colour palette and a more watercoloured finish

For my card, I used the Flowers Fair stamp set along with the Scalloped Blooms stamp to build up this floral arrangement.
I coloured all of the images using watercolouring techniques, which gives that soft, slightly imperfect look that I love. It adds so much movement and keeps the card feeling relaxed and organic.

To enhance that effect, I also added:

• ink splatter across the background
• torn edges for texture
• and a wrap of linen thread to tie everything together

Featuring the New 2026–2028 In Colours

This card was the perfect excuse to play with the brand new 2026–2028 In Colours

• Hydrangea Hue
• Crisp Cantaloupe
• Golden Glow
• Peaceful Pine
• Barely Blush

Together, they create such a fresh, playful colour combo that really makes the florals pop!
To finish the card, I added a simple “Thank You” sentiment layered over the florals. Keeping the sentiment clean and bold helps anchor all of the colour and detail happening behind it.

CASE’ing is one of the best ways to stretch your creativity—taking inspiration and making it your own is where the magic happens.
