This week’s challenge for the Global Design Project was to CASE the designer, featuring a gorgeous card by Kim Fee. I absolutely loved Kim’s layered layout, embossed background and the way she combined texture with soft detail, so I decided to use those elements as inspiration for my own project.

For my card, I reached for the beautiful new Stampin’ Up! Moonlit Flora Suite and paired it with two of the brand new 2026–2028 In Colours — Golden Glow and Peaceful Pine. I loved how these colours created an earthy yet elegant feel that worked perfectly with the nature-inspired papers and butterfly details.

One of the first elements that caught my eye in Kim’s card was the embossed background, so I knew I wanted to include plenty of texture in my version too.

I embossed the Golden Glow cardstock layer to add depth and interest behind all the layered elements. I then combined several patterns from the Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper to recreate that layered focal-panel style from Kim’s design while still making it feel like my own project.

The soft greens paired with the warm golden tones gave this card such a rich and botanical feel.

To build the focal point, I layered die-cut foliage, delicate butterflies and ribbon to create lots of softness and movement across the front of the card.
The sentiment “You’re an amazing friend” fit perfectly with the elegant and nature-inspired style of the card.

Inside the card, I kept the design simple with coordinating stamping and one final butterfly detail to tie everything together.

I always love participating in CASE challenges because they push me to look at layouts and design elements in new ways while still adding my own creative style and favourite products.
