It’s a new week and time for another Global Design Project challenge. I sat down and had a play with this challenge over the weekend and had so much fun! It was a busy craft weekend at my house with an online stamp camp and a couple of deadlines but I had a ball! I hope that you had a fun weekend wherever you are!
The theme of this challenge and the idea of making a card with a rainbow colour combination using paper scraps was so much fun and I had a great time using the Timeless Charm bundle from the Online Exclusives product range that I had not yet had a chance to use!

my finished rainbow card – thanks for all you do!
Here is a look at my finished card. When I knew that I was going to be featuring this fun rainbow colour combination and I decided on the idea of doing rainbow paper strips my mind immediately remembered the beautiful die featured in the Beautiful Balloons Bundle with the gorgeous fringe banner die! It makes for the cutest detailed strips! I would have purchased this die set for that die alone! You can find it linked in my supply list below!
To stick with the rainbow theme, I cut the strips out in each of the rainbow colours.
a look at the rainbow colour combination that inspired the card…
There are so many bright colours in the Stampin’ Up! colour families but in the end I decided on these seven and they felt like the best fit for my card!
It’s all about mixing and matching though, do what works best!
a close up of all that rainbow loving detail…
Here is a look at the finished detail. It was a bit random when I decided to mix and match and add in the Timeless Charm Bundle with the Beautiful Balloons Dies as side by side they do not look like they should go together! I had this idea though that I wanted to add those beautiful detailed die cuts in coordinating colours to my paper strips and wow I am so glad that I did! Don’t they look beautiful?
On the levels where I have cut a smaller die, I have added multiples and simply adhered them with Mini Glue Dots.
To embellish my card I have added lots of glitz by spritzing my whole card with Wink of Stella. I wish you could see it up close – boy does it shimmer and shine!
Underneath my sentiment I have added some frayed Herringbone ribbon. Slight confession – I am a little bit addicted to this stuff and have been adding it to everything!
I stamped my sentiment heat embossed in white and simply added it to my card on some dimensionals and then lastly have added some more glam with some of the beautiful Iridescent Rhinestones.
a look at the pretty inside…
Here is a look at the inside of the card. I just love how I can make the inside of the card look so pretty, polished and finished by using literally scraps and pieces that were leftover from my card front! The fringe banner was left over and I have added this with a small strip of some Silver Foil along with some left over die cuts.
Using a Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker I added some beautiful and bright spritzing and the card was pretty on the inside as well as the outside.
I hope that you enjoyed my project share today and were able to get some inspiration.
