I am loving my weekly check ins and Facebook lives/classes with everyone over on my Facebook Page + doing up a FREE PDF to download. It is proving to be very popular and I am loving doing them. This week I featured a Triple Diamond Stepper Card which was a blast to make! When I saw the Jungle Pals stamps and dies from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue I knew that they just needed a fun fold or something fun and a little bit “extra”. I loved that this stepper card meant that I could have a bit of a trailing jungle theme and I just loved that the lemur could pop over the top!
This fun fold is actually surprisingly easy to make! I have provided both the video replay or the PDF download with all the written instructions, so whichever you find easier – it’s all there! Scroll down to see how to download the PDF.
Can you believe I have actually used FOUR Sale-a-Bration on this card! Sale-a-Bration ends at the end of this month so I am getting the most of out of these gorgeous products and who could not? They are amazing! I have used the Jungle Pals stamps and dies plus the Heartfelt Hellos stamps for the gorgeous sentiment and the Opaque faceted gems for the centres of those gorgeous flowers. You can get all these FREE this month! See my store to see how.
the finished triple diamond stepper card
Here is a look at the finished card. I just loved how it stands when you can see the diamonds in the ascending sizes going up the “stairs”. It really is an intriguing look! The card in this accordion style is actually so easy to put together.
I wanted something nice and bright and had a jungle feel for this card so I actually pulled in the Stargazing Designer Series Paper to match with the bright green feel for my card and it worked so well!
the colour palette
Here is a look at the colour palette that I went with for my card. As you can see, lots of bright greens and the bright and bold Shaded Spruce with a touch of a nice and bright Tahitian Tide for some sky and some beautiful warm browns for a forest feel for the jungle.
a flat lay look at the finished card
Here is a look at the flat lay look of the finished Triple Diamond Stepper card. This beautiful fold actually folds completely flat and does fit into a normal C6 sized envelope, it is quite thick though and would required additional postage! I have coloured each of my die cut foliage and greenery with a blending brush and a combination of green inks. It added additional shading and tone which I just love.
I added some beautiful effects to the flowers by colouring some Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight onto a scrap of white before die cutting!
a look at the details
I loved colouring my images! These jungle pals images are just adorable and would make the cutest cards for people of all ages – but how cute for the little ones? I love adding the colour lifter to cuties like these to remove colour in areas to make the image look more rounded, like you can see here on the alligator.
The sentiment is taken from the additional Sale-a-Bration product, Heartfelt Hellos which I did heat emboss in white on black.
there is nothing like a pretty inside
Here is a look at the inside of the card where I added some simple blending in a couple of greens and added some additional left over die cuts.
This card is a lot more simple to make than it looks & I did compile a step by step tutorial for exactly how to make this project!
The Triple Diamond Stepper Card is easiest to make in imperial measurements so I have only added those measurements. I hope that you enjoy the free tutorial and I would love to see what you make.
