Recently I attended the awesome Online Stamping Retreat hosted by the lovely Kylie and Bruno Bertucci and mother/daughter team Lisa Curcio & Gina Hawley. I always look forward to this event and have so much fun and this last event was amazing! This fun project was presented by the talented Lisa & Gina and this is Gina’s fun version of the card. I didn’t change up my card much because I loved Gina’s version and I needed to have a bit of a craft without thinking. Does anyone else get like that sometimes? This fun fold card called a Pop Out Block Card is another great way to feature Designer Series Paper which I love is a bit of an ongoing theme with the OSR projects because I love to #loveitchopit and really let those beautiful papers shine!

the finished pop out block card
Here is a look at the front of the finished Pop Out Block card. You would not be able to tell that this is a fun fold when you first look at it!
I used the brand new Layers of Beauty Bundle which is just gorgeous. If you don’t like going to all the effort of colouring with pencils or markers this fun bundle comes with layering stencils that let you easily colour in a few steps with some ink and a blending brush! It is so much fun.
Gina showed this fun bundle paired with the Designer Series Paper from the Mediterranean Blooms suite and I just love the colour combo of deep blues with the yellow and green! How much fun.

Here is a look at the finished details on the card front. I added in some beautiful Night of Navy Baker’s Twine which is actually from an upcoming suite called Nests of Winter that will be available in the September-December Mini album but was available early for demonstrators.
It matched so well so I couldn’t help it. I also added some Paper Butterflies which I have lightly added some Balmy Blue Ink to with some Opal Rounds.
Some tiny accents was enough to make this card shine.
a look at the fun of the centre pop out block card
When you open this card it is where it really shines! The triple centrepiece on this pop out block card is just amazing and really is a surprise when you open this card.
Gina made a gorgeous centrepiece feature with the stamped Layers of Beauty image and cut the tiny squares to feature on the pop out block panel. I loved that design and so kept with that as it was gorgeous.
somewhere to write…
As there isn’t a place to write on this card, that is easily rectified by adding a panel on the back. I added some light embellishing with another Layers of Beauty floral piece and some light blending with Night of Navy. A small strip of the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper and this card was finished!
This was such a super fun card to make that I have never tried or seen before. I can’t wait to make another inspired by Lisa’s version of the card. I always have so much fun at the Online Stamping Retreat and can’t wait to finish all my other projects which I will share soon. Be sure to go and follow the OSR page for all the updates.
