I had so much fun on the weekend creating for World Card Making day both with Stampin’ Up! with their free event which you can catch the replay for here, on my own page and lastly with The Stamping Lounge. We ran a free event/class on our Facebook Page showing off a card we all made using the same sketch (which you can see below) with different colour combos. We have some really cool sketch & colour resources available for members on the lounge and if you see the video linked below you will see a sneak peek of these! I created a fun Spotlight on Nature Card with a really bright and fun colour combo!

I had so much fun creating this Spotlight on Nature card and it really was easy when kick started with a fun colour combo & sketch. Watercolouring and texture was a big focus on this card as I really wanted to mix up the textures and colours.

To create this texture I mixed up the card with a mixture of both dry and heat embossing. I added different textures by using some Vellum and Glimmer Paper.

The colours were a fun mixture of blues/greens with some purple tones and I had fun mixing all four of these colours to watercolour leaves and the flowers.

To further accent the embossing I have distressed the edges and added some light blending with some Gorgeous Grape, I also spritzed the top with a Gorgeous Grape Stampin’ Write Marker.

I added some basic stamping/blending and some leftover strips of embossing and glimmer to the inside.

You can see the bright colour combo that I chose here. This is just one of MANY colour combos available on the lounge & the beautiful #sketch22 which we all used to create our card. It’s fun to see a card sketch done in multiple ways so that you can see how versatile it is.
