Do you send out thank you cards? I have to say they are a card that I make lots of! There are so many things that you can show gratitude for, or be thankful for. Gratitude journalling is something I took a liking to over the recent years and if anything it taught me that there is always a reason to send a little thank you card! This month we are featuring them at Stampin’ Fancy Friday, which I love. I grabbed out the beautiful Textured Florals bundle to have a play because it featured the adorable sentiment that caught my eye; “Every Thought of You Makes Me Smile, With A Grateful Heart”. I decided to centre my card around a fun die cut masking technique using circle dies and some blending brushes to get that beautiful blended circle in the middle of my card!
P.S. Do you want some ideas on how you how you show your gratitude? I have compiled a list below.

my finished card

Here is a look at my finished card and a look at how that die cut masking technique looks so fabulous especially as a ‘grounding’ for the focal point of my card. You could use the die cut masking technique with any shape – think hearts, squares, ovals – any solid shape would work well!
I created a nice mixture of both stamped and die cut elements on the card because the Textured Florals bundle has a lovely mix of both and they were all too beautiful not to include them all! If you want to check out the bundle check it out in the supply list below – the stamps & dies together are amazing!
When I stamped the images I have used multiple colours on the stamp using a Sponge Dauber, to achieve a beautiful multi toned image using a mixture of Berry Burst and Blackberry Bliss on the flower, and Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock on the leaves.
My die cut masking was blended in a mixture of Lost Lagoon and a very small amount of Pretty Peacock before I spritzed lightly over the top with some Berry Burst Stampin’ Write Marker and lightly stamped with the texture stamp in Blackberry Bliss.

Here you can see the finished card and all those beautiful details.
I love all the gorgeous dies that come in this bundle and to be honest they are definitely what sold me on the Textured Florals Bundle. The gorgeous dies popped out from the page in that catalogue and grabbed me the moment they met my eye, I am sure that we have all been guilty of that. I wanted to mix up the textures of the die cuts so I have used a mixture of both cardstock and the Soft Shimmer as well as touch of More Dazzle Specialty Paper for the floral centre for a finishing detail. I love to mix textures on my cards as it really is a delight for the eyes!
The Basics 3D Embossing Folders in that gorgeous dotty pattern were also perfect to add even more texture to this card even if it was a subtle peek through layer it was just enough to create even more texture! I folded over the top right corner and added a touch of distressing, the signature ‘Kayla’ touch!
To finish I added some of the beautiful Gold trim from the Online Exclusives range (this stuff is beautiful) and some of the gorgeous sequins in Pretty Peacock.
it wouldn’t be finished without a fun inside…

I added some more specialty paper to the inside. That Soft Shimmer in Pretty Peacock is gorgeous! That could go on everything! I added some more stamping from the Textured Floral Stamp Set layering some Berry Burst and Pretty Peacock colours with a touch of blending and some spritzing with a Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Write Marker.
Just enough to make a beautiful inside to finish this thank you card.
I had a great time making this fun card with a gratitude theme. I hope that you were able to get some inspiration from my post today. Be sure to go and follow the Stampin’ Fancy Friday page and follow along this month as the team shares their amazing projects.
Until next time, crafty hugs. xx
