I was so excited to attend the Online Stamping Retreat run by the lovely Kylie & Bruno Bertucci, Lisa Curcio & Gina Hawley back at the end of October – I am finally getting around to blogging the projects that I made! These retreats are magical! I was so excited by the amazing cards that we got to create at this fun retreat because they are always nothing short of amazing and so many *WOW* techniques and amazing fun folds. Honestly these four are creative masterminds!
Today I am sharing the gorgeous double flap card that I made with the gorgeous Gina Hawley (Lisa’s daughter) she is such a talented crafter (just like her Mum!) and I love the card she made – it even has a split panel front! Check it out down below.
There is another Online Stamping Retreat coming up in February next year and you can join the wait list…

the finished double flap fun fold card

Here is a look at the finished double flap card. I didn’t realise the magic of a fun fold design like this until it all came together and I really think the split card front with this design makes this even more magical! The peek through it gives to the second layer is just so much fun!
I created my card with the beautiful Saint Nicholas Bundle from the current Mini Catalogue. This is a gorgeous bundle which includes both stamps and dies, both are retiring soon but are still currently available in my online store
The front panel of this double flap card gives you a space to add your focal image design, while the side panels are perfect for featuring a coordinating Designer Series Paper or speciality paper.
I chose to add the coordinating Traditions of St Nick Designer Series Paper which coordinates with this bundle. I have listed that in the supply list below.
a close up look at the details

The Saint Nicholas bundle has images that are perfect for colouring with Stampin’ Blend (or other colouring mediums). I had fun colouring my Saint Nicholas images in a class with the lovely Jay from Mitosu Crafts. You can catch his colouring classes here.
I love that the images all have coordinating dies taking the ease out of cutting the images. Colour and die cut! There are cute coordinating dies like a beautiful chimney and some beautiful holly and berries!
a look at the magic of a double flap card!

Here is a look at the beautiful second layer of the double flap card! I love how you open this card and discover the magic of the card that keeps giving.
Using some Pebbled Path Ink and a Blending Brush I added some extra definition to my card and then added some beautiful gold heat embossed speckled dots from the Irresistible Blooms Stamp.
I added another of the coloured images from the Saint Nicholas Bundle which is a gorgeous vintage post box.
P.S. the sentiments in this beautiful bundle are gorgeous!
a look at the pretty inside details…

Here is a look at the beautiful inside which is revealed when you open the last layer of the double flap card. I added some more of the coordinating Designer Series Paper and a touch of the Distressed Gold Designer Series Paper (this speciality paper is stunning!)
I added some more blending with Pecan Pie and some gorgeous die cut holly.
This interactive fun fold card was so much fun to make. Gina made a fabulous card and I had so much fun making mine.
Don’t forget to add yourself to the wait list for the next retreat!
Don’t forget to check over my recent posts as I have been sharing other projects I made at the Online Stamping Retreat and I have more to come. Stay tuned.
Happy crafting. xx
