Better late than never… right?! 😂
I’m finally sharing another project I created during Session Two of the Online Stamping Retreat back in May 2026, where I joined a class with Gina Hawley.
This project is called a Double Flip Book Fun Fold Card, and I absolutely loved creating it!

I also created it using a suite of products that called out to me as soon as I saw it. I am always fascinated by culture and history and the idea of ‘Kintsugi’ had me intrigued.

Kintsugi: Beyond its technical aspects, kintsugi embodies a profound philosophy of imperfection and resilience. It aligns with the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi, which finds beauty in impermanence, imperfection, and the natural cycle of growth and decay. Kintsugi teaches that scars and repairs are not flaws but part of an object’s story, symbolizing rebirth, healing, and the acceptance of change. This philosophy extends metaphorically to human life, encouraging self-acceptance and the recognition of personal growth through adversity.

A card with a little something extra!

This fun fold opens up to reveal multiple panels and flip-out sections, making it perfect for more than just a traditional greeting card.

You could easily turn this into a little memory book, add photographs from a special occasion, or create a card where multiple people can write messages.
I think it would be especially lovely for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings or other milestone celebrations.

And I used my stash!

For my version, I pulled out the Stampin’ Up! Kintsugi Inspirations Suite, which is now retired—but the Designer Series Paper is still available on clearance here in the South Pacific while supplies last.

And honestly, this project was a great reminder that we don’t always need to use the newest products!
Sometimes it’s so much fun to dig through that craft stash and rediscover papers and supplies you’ve been saving for just the right project.

Because let’s be honest… we bought it to USE it! 😂✂️
So if you’ve got some older Designer Series Paper hiding in your craft room, why not pull it out and give it a new life with a fun fold?
