Hello and welcome to my blog post today where I am sharing a fun new handmade card perfect for the book lovers and book worms like me using the new For The Books bundle.
I am sharing this project today as part of my participation in the ESAD (Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators) blog hop where we are sharing projects made with all the new Mini Catalogue & Sale-a-Bration products.

We are celebrating everything that is NEW with this gorgeous new catalogue filled with brand new & exciting product. This is combined with the new product from Stampin’ Up!’s biggest sale of the year full of gorgeous & exclusive new Sale-a-Bration products. I have chosen to combine one of my favourite bundles called the “For The Books Bundle” 📚 with my favourite Sale-a-Bration product ✨ — The Purple Adhesive Backed Sequins. Sequins are for sure a favourite product in my craft room!
my finished for the books card

Here is a look at my finished card. I love the book-themed dies from the For The Books bundle, which create a fun book design with a separate die for the pages and small flags as bookmarks. The set also includes a cute fringe/tassel die that I used to embellish my main book that I have used as my focal point.
I used a technique of repeating elements over a larger background to create an interesting effect. I used different colours for the background design and the book that I used for my focal point. This does take some die cutting but is definitely worth it.
a closer look at the for the books card

Here is a close up look at the details on my finished card where you can see a closer look at all the texture and dimension. I used one of my favourite die sets – the Perennial Postage dies to ‘ground’ my focal point. I added some additional texture with the Black & Vanilla Check Ribbon and embellished with some die cut flowers from the Flowers of Beauty Dies which I have added some additional colour to with a Small Blending Brush and some Petunia Pop Ink. I finished off these flowers and embellishing of the card with some of the gorgeous Purple Adhesive Backed Sequins from the new Sale-a-Bration catalogue.
I hope that you were able to get some inspiration from my project today.

So pretty Kayla. The repeated die cut background is so effective and I love the ink blending on the focal point. xx
