There’s something about a pink and green combo that just always works… and this week’s Global Design Project #GDP545 colour challenge is the perfect example.
We were challenged to create using Bubble Bath, Strawberry Slush and Granny Apple Green—a soft, fresh and slightly playful palette that instantly gives those springtime vibes.

For this card, I started by creating a soft split background.
On one side, I added a striped effect using Strawberry Slush and Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends to create my own stripes, which brings in that bold pop of colour.
On the other side, I kept things light and airy with a subtle text and splatter look which is a design from the brand new Everyday Essentials Designer Series Paper pack —this contrast really helps the focal point stand out.

The star of the card is definitely the floral cluster. I used the Scalloped Blooms Bundle to anchor the design with that soft scalloped circle, then layered in flowers that were coloured and fussy cut from the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper.

I finished the card with a layered sentiment —in soft coordinating tones to keep everything cohesive.
A few gold embellishments add just the right amount of shine, and the subtle splatter ties everything together beautifully.

To keep things cohesive, I added a small coordinating floral detail on the inside, along with a strip of the striped pattern to echo the front design.

This card is such a great reminder of how powerful a colour combo can be—simple elements, but when the colours work together like this, the whole design just comes to life 💕
