Have a Magical Birthday – Magical Mermaid

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to my blog where I am sharing another card with you all today using the gorgeous Magical Mermaid stamp set. I fell in love with this stamp set when I first saw it and even more so when I saw it used over in the Crafty Peach blog.

That is actually what inspired this card which I had kept up my sleeve for someone special and so when my good friend Jodie was celebrating her birthday today I didn’t see a better time!

 

It was also the perfect opportunity to use the new GLOSSY cards stock which allows you to try the coolest techniques. Here I have used a combination of Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point and Pool Party with some Rubbing Alcohol to create a beautiful background.

I added some texture with the new Copper Trim and some Linen Thread. I love it when you splay out the trim it looks like netting which is perfect for this underwater scene. I also added some beautiful blue iridescent sequins from the new catalogue.

Of course it just wouldn’t be finished without making a personalised hand stamped envelope. I even added Jodie’s name from the Labeller Alphabet stamp set.

Here’s a look at the stamped inside with a matching mermaid and gorgeous sentiment.
