Have a Magical Birthday ~ Unicorn Card

Hello and welcome to my blog today where I am sharing a card that I made for my niece who turned six recently.
She is totally obsessed with unicorns so I thought I would CASE (copy and selectively edit) a card I saw made by the lovely Monica Gale and Vanessa Baker They did a beautiful job at creating unicorn cards so I CASE’d their basic design and changed it up a little with some different products.

See below for all the products I used and some info on how I created it.

Here’s a look at the finished card.

I created the eyes by punching two 1 3/4” circles and using my Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker to trace around the bottom and then hand drew the eyelashes with the thinner end of the pen.

I hand cut the unicorn horn with my trimmer and eyeballed it to get a nice horn shape.

I stamped behind the horn with the star stamp from the Little Twinkle Stamp Set.

I then cut some shapes from the Petals and More Thinlets Dies, Bouquet Blooms Framelits and created the little ears with the leaf shapes from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlets in tow shades of pink.

The flowers are stamped tone on tone from the Bouquet Blooms Bundle of stamps and dies.

I added the sentiment from the Magical Mermaid stamp set which had the perfect sentiment “Have a Magical Birthday” for this card.

I have accented the card with the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, Gold Mini Sequin Trim, Metallic ribbon combo pack (pink ribbon) and added some pearls and more gold glimmer!

Truly this is such a wonderful magical unicorn birthday card, I love the colors, design and everything. Thanks a ton for sharing the photos. At a garden event venue NYC I also would be hosting a chic party for my cousin who is expecting a baby girl. Will definitely use the unicorn theme for creating the magic for her surprise party.
