This is a post that I have been meaning to share because I actually shared these cards on last month’s (April) Stampin’ Fancy Friday challenge. It’s one of those times when things slip through the cracks and suddenly it has been weeks/months.
I created these fun cards to feature the new 2024-2026 In Colours and the Mix and Match Ephemera.
The bright pops of colour and fun playful vibe of these colours paired with the imagery from the mix and match ephemera pieces is what I loved but I also had fun playing with a direct to paper inking technique.
I have showed some photos below of how I achieved that look.
You can check out all of the fun cards that get shared over on Stampin’ Fancy Friday by the whole team by clicking here.
the finished cards using the mix and Match ephemera
Here is a look at the two cards that I completed. Firstly I just have to say having this ephemera makes it so QUICK and EASY to create. I had these cards made in no time – that is why I added two!
There are four different options to choose with the Mix and Match Ephemera products and here you can see all four used as I have literally mixed and matched them!
I really wanted to also feature the new In Colours as they look so great together. It gave me a playful and happy vibe.

a close up look at the finished details
Here you can see a look at some of those finished details. I went to town adding coordinating products from the 2024-2026 In Colour range including the Glimmer Paper and Resin Dots with some of the frayed In Colour Bordered Ribbon. It is always one of the things that I love most about the Stampin’ Up! products is that they coordinate so well.
In sharing my projects for the Stampin’ Fancy Friday challenge I wanted to share one of my favourite techniques and that is direct to paper inking. Here are a couple of photos I took of the process…
This shows how I used each of the 2024-2026 In Colour Ink Pads to drag lightly across the cardstock surface to achieve stripes of colour that made this fun and funky background!
a look at the inside of my finished card
I added some fun to the inside of the card by adding some more of the In Colour Glimmer Paper with a floral piece taken from the Mix and Match Ephemera. It really added something a bit ‘extra’ to the inside of this card.
I had so much fun making these cards to show how versatile these products are and how they can come together so quickly and easily.
The Mix and Match Ephemera is definitely a worthwhile product to add to your stash to create a whole variety of different projects. I can’t wait to see what you create! Be sure to come and join my VIP group where you can share what you make (everyone is welcome)
Until next time, crafty hugs. xx
