Morning Star ~ You are a Star Card

Hello lovely blog readers and welcome back. A BIG Happy Friday to you all.
Normally we would be gearing up for a big weekend when we usually get out and about and do the majority of our socialising, however things at the moment are not very ‘social’.
BUT…
There are positives…it means more time at home with our little family and enjoying the close knit time together, because we will all get through this together!

Today I wanted to pop on and share a card that I made recently using the Morning Star set of stamps from the gorgeous Mini Catalogue.

Sale-a-Bration may be over, but our Mini Catalogue is still going strong.

I was really excited when I saw this stamp set released.
Why? Because it coordinates with the beautiful Stitched Stars Dies that were released in the Holiday Catalogue.
I have combined the two on this card which you will be able to see below.

Here’s a look at the finished card.
I was actually really inspired by COLOUR when I was putting this card together and decided to go for a bit of a different colour scheme and combine; Crushed Curry, Blushing Bride, Pool Party and Sahara Sand.
It took a while to grow on me, but I do think that I really like it, especially with the pops of Basic Black and Vellum to tone it down.

I did something a little bit different to get my sentiment, and actually stamped one of the stars from the stamp set and just cut out the sentiment section.
Remember you aren’t limited by your stamps and how they are ‘meant’ to be used.
The sky is the limit!

Here’s a close up of the finished card where you can see some of the detail.

I have added my favourite Linen Thread that I just love to add to everything.

Of course you can also see that I have added some Wink of Stella spritzing! and a bit of one of my new favourites which is the beautiful Sahara Sand Woven Threads Trim.
I just love that stuff!!

Here’s a look at the completed inside of my card which I have kept pretty simple with layers of Basic Black and Whisper White with some simple stamping.
