the finished set of cards using the retiring in colours

Here is a look at my finished set of cards using the retiring in colours. I really wanted to make them the feature so I have made one monochromatic card for each.
Obviously monochromatic cards are on my mind as it was also the theme for last week’s video/post which you can see here.
I used a mixture of products on these cards including the new Pattern of Friendship die. This is such a beautiful die and unlike any other product we already have. It does not cut a shape but rather leaves an imprint on the cardstock with this gorgeous pattern. I believe it’s a must have and beautiful for adding texture and detail to your cards.
I finished my card with the gorgeous Sketched Butterflies bundle to create some beautiful butterflies coloured with the corresponding retiring in colour on my cards.

Here is a close up look at my finished project where you can see some of the texture and detail added.
I used the fun Everyday Arches die to create a ‘base’ to ground my focal point. This was a fun addition as I made it dimensional by cutting the same sized arch four times from the in colour cardstock and added an arch cut from the Woodgrain Specialty Paper which was accented with some in colour ink blended on top. This allowed me to create some 3D element to the arch without using dimensionals but instead providing a matching in colour look to the sides.
a matching card insert to match!

Of course there just had to be a pretty inside!
