Stampin’ Up! Basket of Blooms – Card #1

Today I am have something very exciting to share with you and that is my new announcement that I will in fact be going LIVE on my Facebook page 3 days per week to bring you a new card and tutorial!

I have had a bit of a hiatus from crafting and blogging for a wee little while with health problems and some big life changes happening here in the McCreadie household…however – this actually has meant that Stampin’ Up! is now my full time job and that has many exciting factors!
It means more time doing what I love and sharing it with YOU!

Here’s a look at the card that we made on Monday featuring the beautiful Basket of Blooms Stamp Set and the Walk in The Woods Stamp Set.

This also featured the gorgeous Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder which in my top 3 favourite embossing folders to have. I talk a bit more about this in my video.

I have really focused on watercoloring in this video and card where I have heat embossed on some Fluid 100 Watercolour cardstock and used a variety of colours including; Pool party, Coastal Cabana, Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green and Just Jade to achieve my watercolored pot and foliage.

I was definitely a fun look and yes it does require some fussy cutting – but it’s therapeutic I promise!

Here’s a close up of the finished card where you can see some texture and some close up detail.
I have added some embellishing with the Flowers for Every Season Gems and some of the Basket Weave Ribbon and gold thread from the Forever Greenery Thread Combo Pack.

Here’s a look at the finished inside with layers of Whisper White and Crumb Cake with a touch of stamping Memento Black and some additional thread and Designer Series Paper.
