Stampin’ Up! Birds & Branches ~ Happy Birthday Card

Happy Saturday!

Today I am bringing you a card that I made on a crafty day this week where I just wanted to sue this beautiful ‘window’ die with the gorgeous Birds and Branches bundle and combine it with some fun and bright colours!

Colour is what really inspired this card.

I’ll be honest, when I first saw the stamp set, I just wasn’t sure!

I am not sure, but I just didn’t know if it would ‘work’ with my style…BUT…it stamps so beautifully and I love how you can layer the birds and create some beautifully coloured birdies!

Here’s a look at the finished card.

It all started with a Sahara Sand card front backed on a Basic Black card base.

I then die cut the window using the coordinating dies from the Birds & Branches bundle and then I embossed this with my absolute favourite Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. I love the texture this adds!

I then stamped all my images. The branch I stamped on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock which I placed behind my Sahara Sand die cut piece and have stamped this in Soft Suede, with the leaves in Granny Apple Green.

I then adhered this to my white with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a backing of Sahara Sand. I am loving tone on tone at the moment.

I then stamped all my flowers and bird in a mixture of; Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody and Coastal Cabana Inks. These all had fun coordinating dies, meaning no fussy cutting was needed!

I have added a Linen Thread Bow and some Gilded Gems to make it ‘pretty’ and of course added some Wink of Stella shine.

Here’s a look at the decorated inside with layers of Sahara Sand and Whisper White with a small strip of Gold Foil and a leftover flower from the card front.

I added a Gilded Gem for some extra pizzazz.
