Thanks for dropping by my blog today.
I hope that you are having a fabulous day wherever you are. I am enjoying some sunshine, a nice cup of coffee and a break away up North in Queensland visiting some family away from Tasmania.
It’s nice to take a break away, take a deep breath and be thankful for a moment for simple things.
Today I thought I would pop by and share a card that I made recently and actually made on my Facebook Page in a live video.
I had a moment to share the pictures I had taken of the card and really wanted to share it here.
It was such a fun card to make and actually features my FAVOURITE suite from the Annual Catalogue.

Here’s a look at the finished card.
I combined the Bloom Where You Are Planted suite of products with the gorgeous and fun Picture This Dies.
When I saw these Dies, all I could think of when I saw the rectangle dies was the negative of the die creating a ‘window’ for my plants to ‘sit in’. This is the look I went for when I created this card and I had so much fun!
I actually created TEN of these cards – that was commitment – Haha! I made them for a swap and I can’t wait for people to receive them.
The fun part is when you are making something in bulk – it isn’t as hard as it looks as you just created a line or a system and make the process easy for yourself.
The really cool thing about this suite also is that I didn’t stamp these gorgeous plants – that’s PAPER! Yep the Designer Series Paper that comes in the suite, coordinates with the dies – how cool is that?

Here is a close up of the finished card where you can see some of the texture and detail.
I used the negative of the die as my card layer, but actually used the ‘rectangles’ and popped them back into the card.
On the layer with negative cut out, I have used my Blending Brush and some Crumb Cake ink to add some shadowing around the edges – which really added some extra depth and dimension.
I heat embossed the gorgeous sentiment in gold which gave some extra texture and fun – and I just can’t say no to heat embossing!

Here’s a look at the inside of the card which was fun – I added a layer of Cinnamon Cider and some Basic White with a strip of the Designer Series Paper and some stamping with one of the plants and a gorgeous stamped String of Pearls. I used the gorgeous Just Jade ink to stamp it – and I love it!
This card was so much fun to make.
If you want to see a video of me making it – I have it on my YouTube channel and you can see it here.
I hope that you got some inspiration and enjoy plants as much as I do.
Big crafty hugs! x
