Hello lovely blog readers.
Thanks for popping by my blog today.
Today I am taking part in another fabulous Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop and this month we are featuring DSP (Designer Series Paper) and focusing on something we love about it, or perhaps even a favourite DSP of ours at the moment.
I LOVE the new Flowers for Every Season DSP, but something I really wanted to feature is what I love to do with paper, and that is to fussy cut!
This particular designer paper has so many gorgeous floral arrangements that look absolutely stunning when they are fussy cutting.
Fussy cutting is a term for carefully cutting around images and it does scare some people … but for me I find it so therapeutic!
Give yourself a good Netflix show and a whole heaps of ‘fussy cutting’ and you are set to go!
Be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post to see links to all the other amazing blogs that took part.
I have also added links to all the products that I have used in the project today, all of which are available in my store here.
Here’s a look at my finished card.
I chose to really feature a couple of the new in colours and the major inspiration for doing this was the colours in the gorgeous Flowers for Every Season DSP. I really wanted to focus on the gorgeous Bumblebee and Cinnamon Cider colours with some touches of Just Jade (in the leaves).
I used a Bumblebee card front and actually die cut my sunflowers from Bumblebee cardstock and stuck these right over the top with some Liquid glue.
I have then mixed some Whisper White Craft Ink refill with some water and our fabulous Water Painters and ‘flicked’ some ink on to get these white splatters.
I have also spritzed some Wink of Stella. I have backed this piece on some Crumb Cake matting and adhered to a Cinnamon Cider card base.
I have then fussy cut three of the gorgeous sunflower images from the Flowers for Every Seasons DSP. I fussy cut these right on their edge, leaving no ‘white border’. I have then gone over these images with some Wink of Stella.
I also cut the largest Stitched Shaped circle from Whisper White cardstock and also a scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Dies from some of our gorgeous new Brass Foil. I have adhered these circles to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Here’s a look at the fabulous colour combination…
Here’s a close up look at the finished card.
I have cut some of the coordinating foliage from the Sunflower Dies using the beautiful Brass Foil.
I have stuck these in behind the sunflower images and also added in some Bumblebee Gingham Trim.
I chose to use a fun sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set. This stamp set has absolutely FABULOUS sentiments in it that are very versatile across many themes!
I am very lacking of birthday cards at the moment, so thought it was about time I started to fix that!
I have also added some fun Bumblebee Enamel Dots to embellish.
Here you can see the decorated inside of the card where I have added layers of Crumb Cake and Whisper White with a strip of the Flowers for Every Season DSP and another sentiment stamped in Memento Black from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set.

Stunning card and a great way to showcase the DSP by fussy cutting it. It certainly helps break up some of those pieces that are a little bolder than others. Thanks for sharing.

Great job, Kayla! I have to say, I don't have the patience for fussy-cutting but your card clearly shows that it's very worthwhile! Beautiful!
