I am so excited to be sharing another Global Design project challenge with you.
This week’s challenge is a sketch and they are always so much fun because they can be interpreted in so many ways.
You can check out the challenge and all the other design team’s gorgeous projects here.
Now you’ve seen the challenge you can check out my project here…
I decided to really focus on those strips on the sketch and go to town with #loveitchopit on my Designer Series Paper – I love the Artfully Composed paper and really wanted to feature that on my card. I added some Gold Foil to break up the patterned designs and created the base for my fun card.
Here’s a look at some of the detail from my card.
For my daffodils I have stamped and heat embossed them on Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper in black embossing. I then watercolored my daffodils in Pear Pizzazz, Granny Apple Green, Pale Papaya, Calypso Coral and Pumpkin Pie. The daffodils come with coordinating dies which makes it super easy – no fussy cutting!
I added a vellum circle cut from the Beautiful Shapes Dies and some of that gorgeous Pale Papaya Open Weave ribbon.
Here’s a look at the inside of the card which I have kept simple with some Designer Series Paper and foil and a simple stamped sentiment.
I had a load of fun playing with this sketch design and hope that you got some inspiration.
Be sure to check out the challenge for this week and play along.
Crafty hugs!
