Thanks for dropping by my blog today.
I am excited to be sharing a video hop today that went live on my Youtube Channel this evening sharing ways to use pretty paper.
At Stampin’ Up! we have LOADS of pretty paper. I may be bias but I think our Designer Series Paper is just the best! You aren’t limited to Designer Series Paper either – there are loads of specialty papers and all kinds of papers in the catalogues – you can even stamp and make your own papers with our huge collection of stamps!
I have featured a brand new upcoming paper collection in my video – be sure to check out my video here to get a peek…
I have made a fun fold card for today’s hop!
I put my thinking cap on for a fun way to show off the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper and I loved this gate fold design and how it opens up.
Believe it or not – I have only used a sentiment stamp on this card – the rest is Designer Series Paper! Yes – those pretty flowers are die cut & fussy cut from the Designer Series Paper! What a way to show off that pretty papers and let them shine!
I have gone through the measurements of how this gatefold goes together over on my YouTube in metric measurements however at the end of the video I have also explained how easy it is to convert this to imperial measurements.
Blue & Green are my favourite colours – so this fun pattern I have used on the base of my card was definitely going to be the focus!
I also loved that the matching dies are ovals – something that I must admit that I don’t use often. I am a circle girl but I loved mixing it up and grabbing the oval to incorporate into my design. I have also added some Gilding Leafing onto my oval by adding some Tombow Liquid Adhesive and letting it dry and adding the Gilded Leafing over the top with a sponge. This really helped the oval to stand out!
Here is a close up of my finished card where you can see some of the texture and detail.
All those gorgeous florals are cut from the Designer Series Paper.
I am a fussy cutter – it’s not for everyone – but I just love it!
I have added some die cuts from the corresponding dies using the Brushed Metallic Cardstock and finally I have embellished with some of the Adhesive Backed Seasonal Sequins in gold.
How fun would it be for the recipient to open this card up?
I have kept the inside of this card super simple with a layer of Basic White edged in Evening Evergreen. I added a soft blending of Balmy Blue around the edges and some more fussy cut flowers.
I lightly spritzed a Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Write Marker around the card for some added interest and called it done.
Here is another close up where you can see the accordion style of this card.
It is so much fun.
These are super easy and a great way to show off al that Designer Series Paper. Remember to #loveitchopit We want to use those papers and let them shine!
Thanks so much for checking out my card today.
Next in the video hop is Danielle Bennenk with a beautiful project. Be sure to go and check out her video on YouTube here.
