This card was created actually totally inspired by the lovely Stampin’ Up! CEO Sara Douglass when she featured hinge step stamping using the Stamparatus on her amazing video that she featured on her Facebook Page just the other day. You can see her video here.
I decided to recreate and try this stamped in Cinnamon Cider (one of my favourite new In Colours) right on Crumb Cake Cardstock for a bit of a vintage look.
I combined this with my love for all things textures and used the fabulous Festive Felt Sheets – which by the way – did you know you can die cut these in your fabulous Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine – or should I say Gerard?
I have then added a bunch of other fun items for sparkle, shimmer and shine!

Here is a close up look at the finished card where you can see some of the texture and detail.
I love how the hinge step stamping turned out – particularly in the Cinnamon Cider. It really does give this card a vintage appeal.
I have added some strips of two of my favourite things at the moment behind my focal image and that is the Brushed Metallic Cardstock and the Red Velvet Paper.
I then further accented with some Mossy Meadow Diagonal Striped Ribbon, the gold thread from the Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack, Gilded Gems and a beautiful piece from the Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty paper — this stuff is AMAZING and I have been addicted to using it. If you don’t have any yet – it’s definitely a top recommendation for cards of all styles and occasions.

Here’s a look at the inside of the card which I have kept simple with layers of Real Red and Thick Whisper White Cardstock with a strip of the beautiful Red Velvet Paper and some more of the beautiful Gold Thread. I have then stamped a simple sentiment in Memento Black from the Gnome for the Holidays Stamp Set.
I hope you enjoyed today’s post and got some inspiration.
