Hello everyone! It’s been a long time. Talk a bout a break.
Sometimes you just need to hit pause, refresh and reassess and that’s what I’ve been doing. Much needed.
I’m back and I’ve been busy! I have plenty to share! I have a new blog address so if you have been redirected it’s all good. I have just merged to a new domain from my previous married name – finally managed to get my domain name I always originally wanted – so welcome to kaylarenee.com
Here to stay!
I was lucky enough to recently get to attend Kylie and Bruno Bertucci and Lisa Curcio and Gina Hawley’s AMAZING Online Stamping Retreat and that brings me to what I want to share.
I have quite a few cards to share and they were all SO MUCH fun!
I am going to share one a day though otherwise it would be picture overload!
You can see more about the retreats on the Online Stamping Retreat website over here.
There is another one coming soon. That was the third retreat I have attended and they have all been amazing! Next time one comes up – you should definitely attend!
This card was for the Kylie/Bruno joint class and I had so much fun. I mixed it up a little with my own stamp sets etc…but I had a blast.
I have never seen a fun fold like this before, it was called a side flip? I think? Haha!
I can’t share the Bruno original here but he used the cute little sail boats and they were adorable. I decided I wanted to use some intense colour and I was actually away for a month when this class was help and took some colouring with me, so I had these fun images that I had been colouring anyway.
I have to say that these art style images didn’t really grab my fancy when I first saw them…now they have grown on me. I love them!
I used a fun colour combination for this one of; Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Pool Party! Something a bit different for me!
Once I sat with a good bevaragino (a good coffee) and worked out how to create the mechanism (that’s why these classes/retreats where you learn these things are great because you get the videos and PDF’s and you can replay, I was good to go!
I loved embossing my colour blended background with my favourite Timber 3D embossing folder as well for some extra texture. I am so glad that this folder hasn’t retired.
Here is a look at how the card pulls out…
but wait for it….
SURPRISE…
It flips out. How cool is that?
Such a cool fun fold. I have never seen anything like that!
Even better, the whole card opens up so you have plenty of room to write.
This card is sized at 5×7″ so I will need to make a special envelope for it to go in, but I still have my envelope punch board so I find that pretty easy.
I had so much fun making this one.
Thanks Bruno & Kylie.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my take on this fun card.
Stay tuned. I have about a bazillion cards I have photographed from my three or so months hiatus.
Love you all! Crafty hugs. x
P.S. You can see all the products I have used linked below which are all available in my store.
