Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony ~ Sympathy Card

Hello there guys,
I am popping along here today to catch up with some much needed card shares.
I have a few in what I like to call the ‘vault’ that I have not shared.
I have a card here to share today that is of a topic that I think as a cardmaker myself I actually find difficult to make and difficult to share.

I really struggle with sympathy cards. I love the brights – I love the happy – so how do we convey this in a card when someone is going through a time of loss?
I think a personal goal of mine is actually to share some upcoming sympathy cards that are actually bright and happy.
I think in times of loss – we forget to remember that we are actually celebrating.
We are celebrating usually a life that has been and a life that needs to be remembered.
So – enough about my little goal there.

I saw this Prized Peony bundle and it was perfect for making this sweet sympathy card which I combined with gorgeous grays and yellows to make this sweet card….

Here’s a look at the finished card.
I have really honed in on the singular peony which I coloured with a mixture of Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends.
I have then really made it SHINE with some Wink of Stella.

To make the background more subtle I have just stamped some peonies with some Basic Gray ink of some Smoky Slate cardstock.

The dies that coordinate with this whole suite are just stunning and have so many elegant options.
This really is such a go to suite!
